Holy Week

PALM SUNDAY SERVICE
APRIL 10th, 9:30 a.m.

Holy Week begins on Palm Sunday when Jesus rode into Jerusalem with the crowd waving palm branches
and laying them on the road, shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name
of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!” What is so hard to comprehend is that it is the very same crowd that a
few days later are raising their fist in the air yelling, “Crucify Him, Crucify Him”

MAUNDAY THURSDAY SERVICE
April 14th, 7:00 p.m.

We will gather together to remember the last Supper that Jesus was with his disciples. It was here that He
instituted the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper and instructed us as believers to partakers of when we are
together. During the supper, we will also look at each of the elements of a traditional Seder Dinner, what they
were symbolic of and how the Lord’s Supper was a fulfillment of the Seder Dinner honoring our history and
ties with Judaism while seeing all the Old Testament being culminated in the New Testament through the
birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE
April 15th, 7:00 p.m.

Through song, reading of the scriptures and writings regarding the mega story of God’s ever unfolding plan
we will journey from the beginning in the Book of Genesis to the cross where Christ was crucified, to gain a
deeper understanding of what Jesus Christ did and accomplished. Come join us as we hear the whole story of
the scriptures pulled together through Christ’s crowning as King of the Jews while hanging on the cross and
begin to realize that for us as believers, this is the beginning of the end.

Easter Sunrise Service
April 17th, 6:00 a.m.

The Cromwell Christian Clergy Council invites everyone to come and join us on Easter Sunday morning to
begin the day with exuberant celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Our guest speaker
will be Rev. Richard Cudmore, one of the chaplains at Covenant Living. Special music will be provided by
Bethany Lutheran Church. We will meet at the Riverfront down by the boat launch on the CT river.

Easter Morning Service

April 17th, 9:30 a.m.
Come join with us as we end Holy Week with a joyous celebration of the resurrections of Jesus Christ.
Despite the fact that the event took place over 2000 years ago, on Easter Sunday the excitement of His
resurrections is as if it just took place. Through music, scripture reading, and a message by Pastor Doug, we
will look at why this event alone impacted the course of history and changed the lives of mankind forever.
Come and join with us.
