Monday, May 30th at 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, May 29th, we will be remembering and celebrating Memorial Day as a church. Memorial Day is a
federal holiday in the United States for mourning the U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in
the United States armed forces.
On Monday, May 30th, the Town of Cromwell and the Carlson–Sjovall Post 105 of the American Legion will
host the Annual Memorial Day service at 6:00 p.m. on the WWI Memorial Green across from the Fire
department followed by the parade.
Al Waters, the Parade Marshal wrote, “This annual event gives the entire community an opportunity to pay
tribute to the servicemen and women who gave their lives in the service of our country.” Come out and take s
time to remember what this holiday is all about; that is it more than picnics and gathering with family and
friends, but it also a very sacred day to honor and pay tribute to those who gave their lives that you and I can
enjoy our freedom.
See you there.
