Youth Missions

Our Youth Group  participates in three mission outreaches during the year:

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a ministry that provides packaged food to starving children. Packaging is usually done during the month of August, but may be done during other times of the year.  As a youth group we go to a designated location and assemble food packets.. These food packets are sent around the world in areas where children are starving.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a ministry through Samaritan Purse. Our youth put together shoe boxes filled with supplies and gifts that are then shipped to children in over 8 countries. The youth also help package the shoe boxes into large boxes then load them into a large transport container for shipment to N. Carolina and points beyond..

 Wheels for the World

Wheels for the World is a ministry started by Joni  Erickson-Tada to provide metal wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes to people in 23 different countries around the world for distribution to people who wouldn’t have one otherwise. Our youth and youth leaders gather these items throughout the year and then at the proper time we deliver them to the collection point (usually WIHS radio station in Middletown). They are then sent to prisons where the inmates refurbish them and they are ready for shipping. This year our group collected wheelchairs, walkers, crutches and canes.
