Have you or someone close to you undergone the trials of treatment for cancer or other traumatic medical experiences and felt the sudden overwhelming sense of worry and dread? We can’t always be there to comfort those in distress, but we have found a way to provide a sense of presence that someone cares. Our members meet together to knit and crochet prayer shawls that are provided for those undergoing medical treatments that offer the soft warmth of physical comfort and the knowledge that they are constantly in God’s care.
Common Threads meets on Mondays, starting September 11th, 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room. If you like to knit or crochet and are looking for a meaningful service opportunity, please come and join us. Our schedule will be determined after our first meeting.
